Sammie L

I was just thinking about Samuel L Jackson, and I'm pretty impressed with what he's been doing. Not his old, badass personality from Pulp Fiction and such, but with his recent movies. It seems pretty obvious that he no longer gives a shit about his roles, and that's the best thing that could happen to movies.

Seriously, look at his last three roles.

"So you want me to star in an action movie? What's it about? I have to fight snakes, huh? on a plane? So what's it called? 'Snakes on a Plane'? Sign me up!"

"So you wnat me to play a black man who kidnaps a white partier and tries to reform her? What's it called? 'Black Snake Moan'? Sounds great!"

"So you want me in a horror movie, huh? Stephen King wrote it? Who else is in it, then? John Cusack?! And he's the protagonist? Sounds like a hit! Sign me up."

The conclusion is obvious at least to me.

One!

I saw Harry Potter. It was incredibly entertaining - at no point was I not, for some reason, entertained. The movie failed at times and got incredibly bad, but when it did that it was bad enough to be good. Either that or Luna was in a scene. The thing about the movies, for me anyway, is that they can be really shitty as movies, I don't care. What I want to see is the books interpreted on the screen in a cool way, and the people that make these are really good at doing that. The visual style of Hogwarts is one that I really like. So yeah, i liked that.

That's actually all I really wanted to say.
